Nels, a Houghton native, received his undergraduate degree from the James Madison College at Michigan State University and his law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law.  Nels has practiced law at Kendricks, Bordeau, Adamini, Chilman & Greenlee, P.C. for the past six years with an emphasis on civil litigation, family law, and criminal defense.

On February 25, 2010, Laura K. Reilly will present the "Legal Considerations" segment of a seminar sponsored by the Northern Michigan Public Service Academy entitled "Networking for Municipalities:  Using Facebook to Promote Your Community."  The seminar will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Citizens' Forum in Lakeview Arena, Marquette.  Northern Michigan Public Service Academy is a comprehensive municipal training organization serving Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
