Laura Katers Reilly appointed to Shiras Institute Board of Trustees

Laura Katers Reilly has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Shiras Institute. Based in Marquette, the Shiras Institute is a philanthropic endowment created September 20, 1937, by George Shiras III and his wife Frances as a gift to the city of Marquette and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In accordance with this original indenture, the Shiras Institute has operated "For the benefit of the public in the fields of beautification, recreation, and cultural activities...in the broadest and most liberal manner." Over the years the Shiras Institute has partnered with local schools and other organizations to fund projects designed to enhance quality of life for the citizens of Marquette and surrounding communities.

The attorneys of Kendricks, Bordeau, Keefe, Seavoy & Greenlee, P.C. have served on the Board of Trustees of the Shiras Institute since 1958, including two of the firm's founders, George Kendricks and Robert Bordeau.
