Patrick has a general practice with an emphasis on municipal law, zoning, real estate, civil litigation, and Medicaid planning. He has represented numerous municipal clients in the Upper Peninsula, including some of the largest cities. This practice includes zoning, ordinance, and charter review and litigation; civil and criminal enforcement actions; rural development grant title opinions; and general real estate and contract review.

Patrick regularly handles real estate transactional matters including preparing purchase agreements, bills of sale, easements, deeds, notes, mortgages, options, leases, licenses, and other real estate related documents. He also regularly works on real estate related disputes often involving adverse possession, prescriptive easements, and title claims.

Patrick has represented business entities, banks and other financial institutions, public entities, and individuals in state and federal court matters. These litigated matters have spanned a wide range of issues including commercial disputes, business breakups including shareholder oppression claims, foreclosures, both sides of personal injury cases, real estate disputes including claims for quiet title, adverse possession, and prescriptive easement, landlord tenant matters, construction disputes, judicial and by advertisement foreclosures, probate proceedings, and trust and estate disputes.

Patrick also represents clients with the long-term care Medicaid planning, which includes assisting Medicaid applicants in advance of, and in preparation for, their Medicaid applications, by structuring financial resources to obtain Medicaid eligibility while preserving family assets.

Patrick grew up in Marquette. He earned his undergraduate degree from Lawrence University, Wisconsin, Magna Cum Laude, in Appleton. He earned his law degree from the Marquette University School of Law, Cum Laude, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Patrick served as the editor-in-chief of the Marquette Law Review. He has been recognized since 2017 as a "Rising Star" by Michigan Super Lawyers. Prior to returning to Marquette and joining the firm in 2016, Patrick worked at a leading firm in Milwaukee. While in Milwaukee he spent three years on a wide range of civil matters, including several high-profile litigation matters.

Outside of the office, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and dog.
