Kendricks Bordeau, P.C. and Superior Title & Mineral Examiners Sponsor 60th Anniversary Showing of “Anatomy of a Murder” at Marquette County Courthouse

In partnership with Northern Michigan University's Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center, the law firm of Kendricks Bordeau, P.C. and Superior Title & Mineral Examiners are sponsoring a showing of “Anatomy of a Murder” at the Marquette County Courthouse Monday, July 1 and Tuesday, July 2.

The iconic second-floor courtroom is featured in the film, and is the location of the original trial that inspired the book and the movie, by bestselling author and former Michigan Supreme Court Justice, Ishpeming native John Voelker. The occasion for the public showings at the courthouse is the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the film premiere. “Anatomy of a Murder” premiered on July 1, 1959, in Detroit, after two earlier film previews in Marquette County which were attended by the stars of the film, including James Stewart and Eve Arden.
